Jim Reilly ’98 was a beloved member of the William & Mary community and an active brother of Pi Kappa Alpha. Jim followed his brother Tom'92 to Gamma Chapter, where he served as rush chairman. Jim was taken from us during the tragic events of September 11, 2001. In his memory, a scholarship fund was created to provide financial support to student summer research and collaborative student-faculty research at the College in various areas of public policy. Our efforts over the past few years have brought us to within inches of our $5000 pledge to the fund. The endowment is adminstered by the College and all donations are tax deductible.
This year we are also raising money for the Blue Sky Fund. The Blue Sky Fund helps send Virginia underpriveleged children to summer camp; it is headed by Fritz Knapp (William and Mary graduate, and Lambda Chi Alpha member), father of one our current brothers, Stephen. The first 750 dollars raised this year will send a deserving child from the Williamsburg area to a Virginia summer camp. All money raised beyond the first 750 will go to the tradional Reilly Endowment.
